## Stat block

Morgantha's own mother: a blue-grey hag twice a man's height out of the deep wood, with iron teeth, iron nails and a basket the size of a cradle. Her claws reach, her hug holds and crushes, and she rakes again whenever you think you've stepped clear.

### Traits

- **Legendary Resistance (2/Day).** When Granny Ash fails a saving throw, she can choose to succeed instead, twice a day.
- **Iron Teeth.** Granny Ash's teeth and nails are iron. A girl she has raised grows the same iron in at the gums before her thirteenth birthday, and Granny can smell it a valley away.

### Actions

- **Multiattack.** Granny Ash makes two Iron Claw attacks and one Bite attack.
- **Iron Claw.** Hit: 12 (2d6 + 5) Slashing damage.
- **Bite.** Hit: 10 (1d10 + 5) Piercing damage.
- **Crushing Hug.** Hit: 16 (2d10 + 5) Bludgeoning damage. A Medium or smaller target is Grappled (escape DC 15); until it gets free it is also Restrained and takes 16 (2d10 + 5) Bludgeoning damage at the start of each of its turns. Granny can hug only one creature at a time.
