A great canvas in a gilt frame: a young woman in a white gown, painted as no living painter could paint her, from a dead man's memory. It's an eye of the castle. Her look burns, her frame swings like a door, and the count speaks through her mouth.

### Traits

- **Legendary Resistance (2/Day).** When the Likeness fails a saving throw, it can choose to succeed instead, twice a day.
- **The Count's Eye.** The Likeness is an eye of Castle Ravenloft: what the woman in it looks at, the count sees, and he can speak through her mouth. Every portrait Haralamb painted from it does the same, until it burns.

### Actions

- **Multiattack.** The Likeness uses The Count's Regard or casts a spell, and makes one Frame Strike.
- **Frame Strike.** Melee Attack Roll: +7, reach 10 ft. Hit: 16 (3d8 + 3) Bludgeoning damage.
- **The Count's Regard.** Wisdom Saving Throw: DC 16, one creature the Likeness can see within 60 feet. Failure: 27 (5d10) Psychic damage, and the target has the Frightened condition until the end of the Likeness's next turn. Success: Half damage only.
- **Spellcasting.** The Likeness casts one of the following spells, using Charisma as the spellcasting ability (spell save DC 16): once a day each, Hypnotic Pattern and Hold Person.
