## Overview

The windmill's ground floor: a bakery around a great brick oven, a millstone that grinds more than grain, a pantry of jars, and a stair up into the loft where the children are kept.

Warm, floury and close. Everything is dusted white: the tables, the sacks, the floor, the millstone. The oven on the far wall breathes like something asleep.
