## Overview

A roadhouse on the Old Svalich Road between the Village of Barovia and the crossroads, burned out twenty winters ago, with a lantern in its upstairs window every night though it has no upstairs any more (The Lantern in the Roadhouse, docs/story/side_quests.md).

A roadhouse by the road, burned down to its walls a long time ago. A painted goose still hangs from the sign-iron, grey with soot. Weeds in the taproom, and the hearth standing on its own like a tombstone.

**Resting:** Risky: a rest here can be interrupted.
