- Yester Hill: A bald hill west of the vineyards, heaped over old graves, that the druids have made their holy place: a camp of painted wild men on its shoulder, wicker cages, a hidden gully up the west flank, and a path to the crown where the tree grows.
- The Crown of Yester Hill: The top of Yester Hill inside a ring of standing stones: a black, twisted tree that drinks what it is given, a fire, and a great earthen effigy of the lord of the valley, lying on its back with a stone in its heart.
