Overview
The household west wing opens off a central passage into a spider-choked ballroom, a laid dining hall, a parlour, a wine store, a cold kitchen with a rattling pot, and the dragon's own vaulted den.
A long passage runs west from the gallery between rows of closed doors. To the north lie the ballroom, the dining hall, and the parlour; to the south wait the kitchen, the wine store, and the great hollow of the dragon's den.
Resting: Risky: a Long Rest here makes camp, and the night can be interrupted.

The guest book
A guest book rests on a brass stand, its pages gone the colour of weak tea. Hundreds of names in a hundred different hands fill the leaves, each with a brief word on the weather or the roast. The last entry, written four hundred years ago, reads only: "Fine night. The lamp was lit. Back soon."
