Location Lake Zarovich Level 8

Lake Zarovich: the Fishers' Landing

A shingle landing on the south-west shore of Lake Zarovich: a rotten jetty, drying racks with no fish on them, empty huts, and Bluto Krogarov's shack, the last fisher on the lake.

Overview

Black water to the far shore and the wolf hills above it. The fishers left a year ago when the nets stopped filling; only Bluto stayed. His rowboat is tied at the jetty's foot.

Resting: Risky: a rest here can be interrupted.

A notice on a hut door

To whoever comes after: the lake has given nothing for a year. We have gone to my sister's in Vallaki. The boats are yours if you want them; the lake is yours if you want it. We don't. - the Petrescus, and Old Toma, and the Brancu boys
